Bulls Win Draft Lottery

Beating the odds the Bulls won the draft lottery to pick first in the upcoming NBA Draft!!
Pssst…..John Paxson, here’s the future of the Bulls right here. He can actually make free throws too unlike Ben Gordon. OJ Mayo is a difference-maker in the mold of Michael Jordan and the clear choice to me, but then I am Trojan to the core so I admit my bias!

The Forgotten Wing
May 14, 2008 by Guy · 3 Comments
There’s a wing of Magee that appears to have been largely forgotten over the years and was used for storage. I’ve posted some very interesting photos of the area, there are some interesting “artifacts” remaining in this area and I certainly would like to hear from someone who knows more about it!
It looks as though this was the old locker room area for the gym before the gym was rebuilt. I believe the Magee gym was redone at the same time the south addition was done which was also around the time of the RLHS gym addition. There are a couple of “stairways to nowhere” in this area and I’d sure appreciate an older Magee alumnus filling us in! Feel free to post comments here on my blog, on the photos or shoot me an email with your information!

Be sure to catch the photos in the “Forgotten Wing” as those are pretty interesting!!
The Mac in the Gray Flannel Suit

Great video and article about Apple’s penetration into the business world. Macs have always been popular in education and Apple’s attractive, desirable, feature-filled products were why we ended up awarding them the contract for the new Magee computers. It appears that corporations are starting to see the same thing.

AT&T Uverse
May 7, 2008 by Guy · 2 Comments
Well I’ve been checking out AT&T’s Uverse service mostly because I was drooling over the data speeds to the home. Then I saw all the other upcoming benefits of the service and what a great price it was. So I took the plunge. I was shocked when they said “we can have someone out tomorrow”.
So the tech came on out and after about 3 hours got everything up and going so my new TV and internet service is going.
I can’t complain about the data speeds:
More to come once I have a chance to play with it some more.
Civil War Night @ Ellis

A full house was on hand at Ellis School on April 30 for the 5th Grade Civil War Night. It was a great evening of songs, readings and costumes. I was only going to take a few pictures but when some of the staff said they forgot their cameras I snapped away all night.
